Blue Mountain dan lagenda Three Sisters

Gooday mate!

How are we? Alhamdulillah, I'm feeling much more better. I was down with fever, cough and flu for the past 2 weeks. I guess it's because of the changing of weather (from hot to cold season), lack of rest and double stress! Tehehe... PhD without stress is not a PhD ey? o_O

Anyway, I had a blast week last week! =) We had a visitor from Malaysia who is my hubby's ex-colleague and his wife. Even though I was sick and busy but alhamdulillah we manage to entertain them. Thanks to hubby for all his help and effort. Hopefully our guest enjoyed their stay with us. And thanks a lot for bringing us 'ole-ole' from Malaysia especially budu! Our budu stock has finished months ago and we're so happy to have them back! weeee \(^_^)/

While our guest were here with us, we managed to take them to one of the must visit place in Sydney. It's Three Sisters at Blue Mountain, Katoomba. According to science the Three Sisters is an unusual rock formation but according to the Aboriginal legend, they represent three sisters (Meehni, Wimlah and Gunnedoo) who were turned to stone!

There are many version of the legends though. I guess the famous version was that the 3 sisters had fallen in love with the 3 brothers from different tribe and yet the tribal law forbade them to marry. The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters causing a major tribal battle. As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. He had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over. However, the witchdoctor himself was killed. As only he could reverse the spell, the sisters remain as stone. What a sad story! T_T

So, if you visit Sydney, don't miss a chance to visit the echo point lookout. It has the most magnificent and breathtaking view! Alternatively, you can go to Sceniworld to discover and experience the nature world in Katoomba. Plus, you could enjoy the sky-ride, cable-ride, the steepest rail-ride or even enjoy your walk throughout ancient rainforest. It's worth the pay! Pheww... scenicworld should pay me for promoting them or at least give me some special discount! tehehe... ;P

I know, a story without pictures is boring! Tehehe... So, here are some more pictures I would like to share with you guys. Enjoy and thank you for reading!
